Better Health with a Low GST Diet.
If you want to eat your way to better health and reduce your risk of disease without getting hung up on quinoa, chia seeds or gogi juice maybe the “Low GST Diet” is what you are looking for. No this is not a ‘typo’, it is meant to read “Low GST”.
Foods that are free of GST are generally:
- Fruits and vegetables
- Beef, pork, lamb and chicken
- Fish, prawns, crab and other seafood
- Breads and breakfast cereals
- These foods can be fresh, frozen, canned or packaged but not part of a pre prepared meal such as pizza or frozen TV dinner
Generally speaking if you eat a diet of foods that are free of GST they will be:
- Unprocessed which means no chemicals or additives.
- Usually low fat or healthy fat.
- Usually good fibre content.
- High nutrition content with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
- Just good clean food for your body.
There are exceptions such as high sugar breakfast cereals, fatty meat and white bread which don’t necessarily tick the health boxes so it will then come down to you to make a healthy choice.
